BTS are on the road again in 2026: the Arirang world tour opened in Goyang in March and played two sold-out nights at Busan’s Asiad Main Stadium in June. If you’re coming to Korea for BTS, you’ll want to eat like them too. The problem is that most “BTS favorite food” lists online are years-old fan lore with no source. This guide separates what the members actually said or showed from what fans repeat, and tells you where to try each dish in Seoul at 2026 prices.
How to read this: ✅ = a member said or showed it (source linked). 💬 = a popular fan story we couldn’t trace to a direct source. Enjoy the 💬 ones, just don’t treat them as fact.
Quick answer: ✅ Jin calls himself a naengmyeon (cold noodle) lover and has told fans to try hoedeopbap. ✅ V is a Mom’s Touch regular who publicly asked for more of chef Edward Lee’s sauce. ✅ Jungkook ate sausages on a 2026 Weverse live and politely ate off-camera for a vegan fan. 💬 Fans link RM to samgyeopsal, Suga to jajangmyeon, J-Hope to kimchi and Jimin to kimchi fried rice.

Jin: naengmyeon and hoedeopbap
✅ After a concert in Japan, Jin posted on Weverse that a hiyashi chuka (Japanese cold ramen) an ARMY recommended was delicious, “for someone who loves naengmyeon like me” (Weverse). ✅ In another post he told fans that Korea has something called hoedeopbap, that it’s delicious and they should try it (Weverse).
What a Korean knows: naengmyeon comes two ways. Mul-naengmyeon (물냉면) floats chewy buckwheat noodles in icy beef broth; bibim-naengmyeon (비빔냉면) tosses them in spicy sauce. Koreans eat it all year, even in winter, and the server will offer to cut the long noodles with scissors. Say yes. The Seoul average was ₩12,615 in April 2026; famous Pyongyang-style houses charge more: Woorae-ok ₩18,000, Eulmidae and Nampo Myeonok ₩16,000, Pildong and Eulji Myeonok about ₩15,000 (Hankyung).
Hoedeopbap (회덮밥) is Korea’s answer to a poke bowl: rice topped with sliced raw fish and crunchy vegetables, mixed with sweet-spicy chogochujang. You’ll find it at seafood restaurants and fish markets like Noryangjin. Ask for the sauce on the side if you don’t like heat.

V: a Mom’s Touch regular
✅ In October 2025, V told fans he’s a regular at Mom’s Touch, the Korean burger and chicken chain, and that he had “something to say”: everything was good, but he wanted more of the special sauce on the chain’s collaboration chicken with chef Edward Lee. He also tagged Mom’s Touch in a photo on social media (Sports Kyunghyang).
What a Korean knows: Mom’s Touch is where Koreans go for a thick fried chicken-thigh burger rather than a beef one. Edward Lee is the Korean-American chef who finished runner-up on Netflix’s Culinary Class Wars season 1; see our Culinary Class Wars restaurant guide. 💬 Fans also often say V loves japchae (glass noodles), but we couldn’t find a direct quote.
Jungkook: sausages, and good manners on camera
✅ During a Weverse live after a show in Spain in June 2026, Jungkook was eating sausages when a fan said they were vegan. He answered that he isn’t vegan but understands, and for the rest of the live he leaned out of frame every time he took a bite (Sports Kyunghyang). If you’re a vegan BTS fan visiting Seoul, our vegan and halal Korean food guides have you covered.
💬 Jungkook and Binggrae banana milk is one of the most repeated fan stories. Banana milk itself is a real Korean institution: the squat yellow bottle has been sold since 1974 and sits in every convenience store fridge. Try it with our convenience store drink combos.
RM, Suga, J-Hope and Jimin: the fan favorites
We couldn’t trace these to a direct quote, so they’re all 💬. They’re still great Korean dishes to try:
| Member | Fan-linked food 💬 | Seoul average (Apr 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| RM | Samgyeopsal, kalguksu | ₩21,321 (pork belly, 200g); ₩10,038 (kalguksu) |
| Suga | Jajangmyeon, Korean BBQ | ₩7,731 (jajangmyeon) |
| J-Hope | Kimchi, dakgalbi | Kimchi jjigae set ₩8,654 |
| Jimin | Kimchi fried rice, japchae | varies |

Samgyeopsal is the default Korean night out with friends. Our Korean BBQ guide explains how to order and grill it.

Jajangmyeon, noodles in black bean sauce, is Korea’s favorite delivery food. Mix it well before you eat, and pair it with yellow pickled radish. Want to make Korean food at home instead? Try our kimchi jjigae recipe.
