Who’s behind Yum82?

Hi, I’m Tank Lee, the founder of Yum82. I live in Seoul, where I shop at the same convenience stores, supermarkets, and local restaurants I write about. I started Yum82 because so much of what’s written about Korean food in English is outdated, inaccurate, or copied from somewhere else, and I wanted to build the guide I’d send to my own friends visiting Korea.

Why trust Yum82?

Yum82 is written from Seoul by Tank Lee. Much of the most accurate information about Korean food, such as new product launches, official ingredient lists, and local restaurant news, is published only in Korean. We read those Korean-language sources, check manufacturer and official information, and turn it into clear, honest English guides.

If we get something wrong or a product changes, we update the post. Accuracy matters more to us than hype.
