Gimpo is Seoul’s “other” airport: flights to Jeju and the rest of Korea, plus short hops to Tokyo Haneda, Osaka, Shanghai and Taipei. It’s much smaller than Incheon, and its food is quietly better than you’d expect, if you know which floor to go to. Everything below comes from the official Gimpo Airport directory, with opening hours checked on October 13, 2026.

Quick answer: In the domestic terminal, go up to the 4F food floor before security. Munbae-dong Yukkal serves spicy beef-soup noodles from a Seoul restaurant that says it’s been making them for 40 years. In the international terminal, eat on 4F before security (a Korean food court and a Korean restaurant) because there are only three food counters after security. Almost everything closes by 21:00.

Domestic Terminal: Where to Eat

Domestic flights (Jeju, Busan, Gwangju and more) use their own terminal. Most of the food is before security, on 1F, 2F and 4F, so eat first and then go through. Past security on 3F, the gate area has only snack counters.

4F: the best floor for a proper Korean meal

  • Munbae-dong Yukkal (문배동 육칼) — 06:00–20:30. Its name is short for yukgaejang kalguksu: hand-cut noodles in spicy shredded-beef soup loaded with green onions. The original is in Munbae-dong, near Samgakji in Yongsan, Seoul, and the brand says it has been making the dish for 40 years. Also serves gomtang, naengmyeon and mandu.
  • Danjeong (단정) — 06:00–19:30. Sotbap, rice cooked to order in a stone pot.
  • Sodam Bansang (소담반상) — 06:00–20:30. Bibimbap and gukbap (soup with rice).
  • Robot Gimbap (로봇김밥) — 06:00–20:30. Gimbap, bibimbap and ramyeon. Good to take away.
  • Tienlu (티엔루) — 09:00–20:30. Korean-Chinese: jjajangmyeon, fried rice, tangsuyuk.
  • Hongdae Gaemi (홍대개미) — 06:00–20:30. Rice bowls (deopbap).
  • Also on 4F: Vietnamese pho and bun cha, Hoho Katsu (pork cutlet), and Lotteria (05:00–20:30).

Insider tip: Sotbap takes a while because each pot is cooked when you order, so leave time before boarding. When you’ve scooped out the rice, pour the hot tea or water from your table into the pot and let it sit. The crust on the bottom softens into sungnyung, a nutty rice drink Koreans finish the meal with.

1F and 2F: before security

  • Play Bo 6 food court (1F) — 06:00–21:30. Sotbap, bibimbap, jjamppong, tonkatsu, gimbap.
  • Geumpo Bansang (금포반상) (1F) — 06:00–21:00. Stone-pot rice and stews.
  • Culinary Square (1F) — 06:30–21:30. A food hall with ramen, Thai, tteokbokki and Seoul-style hotteok (sweet filled pancakes).
  • Welly & Cafeteria (2F, east and west) — 06:00–20:30. Haejangguk (hangover soup), dumpling soup, udon and ramyeon. Fast and simple.
  • Lotteria (1F) — 04:30–23:30, the earliest and latest food in the domestic terminal.

3F: after security

Past security there are three Play Bo 6 counters (center, east and west, from 05:00 or 05:30 to 21:00) selling coffee, tteokbokki, noodles and pretzels. Fine for a snack, but don’t plan a meal here.
